Lacey Flynn Obitary, Visitation and Funeral Service
In remembrance of Lacey Flynn
In Rock Hill, South Carolina, on December 4, 1995, Lacey Margaret Flynn was born. The week before she turned five, her family relocated to Columbus, and she soon made friends for life. She had a lot of fun dancing with The Columbus Ballet throughout her youth. She majored in Spanish and Sociology at the University of Georgia, where she graduated in 2018. Her intelligence and curiosity fueled her rich experience there. During her time at UGA, she took part in a variety of societies and service organizations. She especially loved Impact, where she organized numerous service-learning spring break trips.
She enjoyed exploring new places, learning new languages, and engaging with different cultures while studying abroad in Costa Rica, Tanzania, and Zanzibar. She even scaled a mountain.
She had a strong sense of empathy for other people and utilized her job to fight for the needy, particularly when she worked for Americorps and Foodcorps. Her most recent work at the Fountain City Bakeshop, where she worked as a barista, was inspired by her lifelong inventiveness. She cherished exploring the outdoors and learning about farming at the MercyMed Farm. She cherished her relations and delighted in conversing with her niece and nephew.
A devoted aunt, sister, friend, niece, and granddaughter, Lacey was also. Her friends and family will sincerely miss her unwavering patience, infectious laugh, and gentle spirit.
Instead of flowers, Lacey’s family requests donations be donated to MercyMed of Columbus, where she volunteered for most of the previous year.
