1Braided Updo
Hellin Kay"This braided updo is one of my favorite looks I've ever done with Jennifer!" Said Townsend. "It's fresh and young and very easy to do."
"I started by running a nickel-size amount of Dove Color Care Leave On Conditioner through her hair to keep it looking shiny and vibrant. Then I parted it down the middle and divided it into two sections on the right and left side. Starting behind her ears on each side, I did a traditional braid leaving two inches as the bottom after securing it with an elastic." Pro Tip: Use clear elastics so they're camouflaged.
"Once the braids were done, I flipped them up on top of her head and secured them with bobby pins every few inches from Jennifer's hairline. I like to run a bobby pin through the elastics at the end of the braids. Make sure to cover the ends of one of the braids with the other one and tuck any stray pieces into the braid, securing with a bobby pin. I finished by spraying Oribe Dry Texture Spray all over for extra texture."

2Messy Side Bun
Hellin Kay"I wanted to put Jennifer's hair up," said Townsend. "But I didn't want to go with a bun in the back. I wanted her to have a hairstyle that looked great from all angles so I pulled her hair into a messy side chignon. It's a cool look that's perfect for both an awards show red carpet or for a party."

3Messy Side Bun
Hellin Kay"To get her look I started by applying a dollop of cream mousse to her damp hair," said Townsend. "Then I blow dried it with a large round brush. After that I took large sections of hair and wrapped them around a one-inch curling iron to create uneven waves."
"Next I gathered her hair behind her left ear and loosely braided it and then looped the braid up to the base and secured it with bobby pins. I pulled the braid apart with my fingers to loosen it a little more and to give the chignon more texture. I finished by spraying extra hold hairspray all over."

4Loose Waves
Hellin Kay"To get Jennifer's textured waves," said Townsend, "I started by spraying Dove Invigorating Dry Shampoo on her second-day hair at her roots and brushing through to the ends. Then I took a nickel-size amount of leave in conditioner and raked it through her hair for lots of shine."
"Next I took three to five inch sections of hair and wrapped them in a two-inch curing iron. Since this is such a large iron, it just creates bend in the hair instead of defined curls. I finished by spraying Sally Hershberger Texture Blast all over for that cool, piecey texture."
