Fantasy Football waiver wire Week 10: Streamers, Jeff Wilson, Terrace Marshall and more

Publish date: 2024-06-10

Week 10 fantasy football waivers might be thin, but Jeff Wilson made us raise an eyebrow with the Dolphins, Terrace Marshall continues to make noise for Carolina and a few more deep options piqued our interest. As we hit the stretch run, let’s find you more help to chase those fantasy football championships.

WAIVER WIRE RUNNING BACK RANKS

  • Jeff Wilson, MIA — 🧐 As mentioned, Wilson saw more work than Mostert (by a hair). Mostert isn’t going away, and we’re likely looking at a 2022 version of last season’s Denver Broncos where we can start both running backs as RB2s with RB1 upside.
  • Gus Edwards, BAL — 😤 The Ravens have their bye, which makes Edwards’ chance of returning in Week 11 higher, and we saw his Top 20 ability in his one start. Edwards is the lead when healthy. Kenyan Drake slots in here as long as Edwards is out, though again, Edwards sounds like he should return after the bye.
  • Jaylen Warren, PIT — The Steelers’ first game out of their bye will be telling about Harris’ 2022 outlook. If Harris still plods along, the Steelers could easily look to 2023, when he’ll be 100%, and use Warren more this season, even as the lead running back… which there are rumors could happen this week.
  • Rachaad White, TB — No, I don’t think White is taking Leonard Fournette’s job, but he’s pushing for a 50/50 split.
  • Chuba Hubbard, CAR — As mentioned last week, D’Onta Foreman loses work when the Panthers are down, seeing just 37.5% of the snaps in 2nd/3rd-and-long situations after 40.9% in Week 8. Hubbard is going to be involved — when healthy — which hurts Foreman more than it helps Hubbard, but it still makes Hubbard worth stashing for needy teams.
  • Latavius Murray, DEN — With Chase Edmonds involved, this turns into an ugly committee, but Murray had been the lead option before the bye. Edmonds likely sees the long-down role with a mix in the passing game, but this offense is broken and three options make it arguably worse than the Commanders backfield.
  • Isiah Pacheco, KC — I want nothing to do with this committee — it’s just the Commanders with a better offense/team — but in weeks where we expect a Chiefs blowout, Pacheco could be an RB3 with touchdown upside. And if someone got hurt and pushed this to two options, Pacheco would be usable.
  • Elijah Mitchell, SF — 🧐 Designated for return, and with Wilson gone, Mitchell is one of the premiere backups who’s shown Top 10 value already.
  • Isaiah Spiller, LAC — Been here for a few weeks, as Spiller is the next one up behind Austin Ekeler, with Top 20 value if anything were to happen.
  • Kyren Williams, LAR — Cam Akers is back, and as it stands, I want nothing to do with this team outside Cooper Kupp. That said, the one running back who could change things and possibly get us RB2 value is the one Sean McVay loves.
  • Kenneth Gainwell, PHI — As seen last week, Gainwell has some value in projected blowout games.
  • Zack Moss and Jordan Wilkins, IND — If Deon Jackson misses time and Jonathan Taylor doesn’t return (and the Colts looking to the draft could mean Taylor never returns), Moss and Wilkins are the next ones up. Wilkins knows the team and immediately passed Phillip Lindsay, fresh off signing last week, but the Colts traded for Moss, making this a bit cloudy. We are likely headed for a timeshare unless Jackson doesn’t miss time.
  • BACKUPS and/or LONG-TERM UPSIDE STASH
(Ranked on upside if the starter)

    WAIVER WIRE WIDE RECEIVER RANKS

  • George Pickens, PIT — Didn’t realize Pickens needed to be here since 1) he was atop this list for weeks and weeks and 2) that many insane people dropped him during the bye.
  • DeAndre Carter, LAC — Until Keenan Allen returns, Carter is the starting slot receiver and top-two option for Justin Herbert, putting Carter in the WR3/4 conversation. Once Allen returns, Carter is nearly droppable, and definitely so once both Allen and Mike Williams are back.
  • Wan’Dale Robinson, NYG — 😤 Dropped by too many during the Giants bye, Robinson is a favorite of Brian Daboll and Daniel Jones.
  • Michael Gallup, DAL — 🧐 The hope for Gallup to turn into a WR2 with Dak Prescott is lost, but coming out of the bye, Gallup and Prescott being 100% back and working together can get Gallup back into usable range (WR4 with possible WR3 upside).
  • Terrace Marshall, CAR — 😤 Over the past three weeks, Marshall is tied for 28th in TmTGT% (20.7 — ahead of Tee Higgins), 33rd in TmAirYard% (27.3 — ahead of Jaylen Waddle) with 1.90 Yards per Route Run (alongside Amon-Ra St. Brown) and 19.0 YD/REC — higher than Stefon Diggs. No, I’m not saying Marshall belongs in the conversation with those names (averaging 9.2 FPPG, which would be good for WR39), but it gives you an idea of his recent use. Again, Marshall was a great NFL prospect who needed route and technique refinement and is capitalizing on his opportunity with Robbie Anderson gone.
  • Kadarius Toney, KC — Toney had limited work in his first Chiefs game, but Andy Reid said they have plans for his ability, and he could reach the No. 3 spot behind Travis Kelce and JuJu Smith-Schuster. If so, he’d be a weekly, high-ceiling, WR4.
  • Jahan Dotson, WSH — 😤
  • Treylon Burks, TEN — 😤
  • Darius Slayton, NYG — Slayton was here last week to stash if you had room during the bye. He’s been a top-two option for Jones with three of his past four games being start-worthy in 12-team leagues.
  • Alec Pierce, IND — Week 9 was a duck crap fest, but Pierce is still the No. 2 Colts receiver, and maybe Jeff Saturday has some high school trick plays to spark this offense.
  • Donovan Peoples-Jones, CLE — DPJ is strangely much better than Amari Cooper on the road, and the Browns head to Miami out of their bye.
  • Christian Watson, GB Romeo Doubs is out 4-6 weeks, and Sammy Watkins continues to fail with his opportunities. Watson has a high ceiling on his ability, and now he has the chance to push for a starting role.
  • Nico Collins, HOU — Only here on the chance Brandin Cooks pulls a 2021 Michael Thomas and never returns. Collins could be a usable WR4 in the boom/bust realm when healthy.
  • Zay Jones, JAX — Essentially the Jaguars’ version of Jakobi Meyers with a bit more inconsistency.
  • MEH 😒 NO THANKS
