Antwun Echols was an American boxer who was a world middleweight contender throughout the late 1990s and early 2000s. His hometown was Davenport, Iowa.

In 1999, Echols challenged Bernard Hopkins, the IBF middleweight champion, after turning professional in 1993. Echols fought Hopkins hard, but Hopkins prevailed by decision. He lost to Hopkins again the following year, this time by way of a 10th-round TKO.

He engaged in a thrilling fight with Charles Brewer in 2001. Echols was knocked out three times in the second round, but he got up in the third to win by TKO and claim the vacant NABA super middleweight title. After Sven Ottke was given ‘Super’ champion status in 2003, the WBA Super Middleweight Title was given to Echols again.
